The sign tells us we have arrived. So we check into the Ranger's Station and pick out our campsite (currently priced at $10/night).

(Tent) Camping is not as popular as it once was. Dad always reserved our site in January, because if we didn't, there was always the possibility of NO sites being available. On our first night this year, Ron & I were 1 of the 16 occupied campsites. The second night, I think there was only about 8 occupied sites. There is a total of 50 sites available. NO pets and NO alcohol is STRICTLY enforced.
We decided on the same campsite that we had last year (#27). It's right on the lake and close to the dam, where Ron likes to fish. What used to be a fantastic swimming beach is also close by. For whatever reason, the Parks Services decided not to maintain the beach as I knew it growing up. It has since been over run with weeds. Swimming is available to the campers at Lake Marcia, in the "day use" area of the park.
